Well, we got set up at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds for our northern California stop just in time for our granddaughter Hailey to make her escape from mama Crissy’s womb. We loaded up and did a quick overnight run to Atascadero to meet Hailey and help out the new parents Chad & Crissy as much as could be done in a day, then returned to Santa Rosa to give the new family a little space from relatives while they adjust to the new lifestyle. Besides, Jeanne had volunteered our babysitting services for the first 3 months of Crissy’s return to work. That would allow some bonding time for Oma, Opa, and Hailey, and would save Chad & Crissy a few bucks, sarcastically speaking, in daycare fees. So beginning around the first of August through October we will be anchored in Atascadero.
Meantime, Mother’s Day came upon us, so to celebrate we loaded up Jenn, Gus, and Max and descended upon the San Francisco Zoo. It was a nice day for both the moms in our group. And Max had the most fun at the large playground.
Our stop in Santa Rosa was brief as far as visits there go. As usual, Jeanne loaded our schedule up with the regular yearly appointments at the dentist and her doctor’s office, with some Jeep maintenance appointments thrown in the mix. And, unfortunately, we did not even come close to visiting with all of our friends in the area, so if we “snubbed” you, please accept my sincerest apologies.
This one was a bit short, not a lot to share other than the zoo visit, but we will be back on the road in a week, until our babysitting duties call. TTFN…
